Danielle Kaheaku–Publisher, Editor-in-ChiefDanielle Kaheaku

An alumni of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, Danielle is an ex-journalist and freelance ghostwriter who has been working in the publishing industry for the past five years. Past work experience includes copy editing,  freelance editing (books, articles), business management, technical writing, and freelance ghostwriting (both fiction and non-fiction), with over fifteen ghosted books under her belt.

She left the island of O'ahu to work as a Technical Editor and Global Positioning System Analyst for an environmental consulting firm based in San Diego, California, but after ages of being stuck in a dusty setting of bones and archaeologists, she finally grew bored of playing dot-to-dot on elevation maps, and decided it was time to move on and return to her true love--books.

After being offered an editing position at a large publishing house, Danielle made the best choice for her family and instead took a risk in becoming Editor-in-Chief of the newbie Leucrota Press in San Diego, California. When she realized being a partner didn't give her the freedom and decision power she wanted, she stepped up and is now running things. She says she took control because she wants a tight ship, but we think it's because her black belt has gone to her head...
